The Blood of Jesus

One of my favorite pastors tells of how he saw in his vision the Savior being whipped and scourged.  He tearfully says how he watched the lashing straps of the whip grab around the back of Jesus, and as it was pulled back by the Roman soldier he saw chunks of flesh being ripped from his back.

This is a hard one for me to write.  It is not only special but sacred. So I will quote from a New Testament Commentary to explain.

Quote: “Pilate had probably been a silent observer of this barbarous scene. He stopped it and determined to make another attempt to touch the springs of Jewish pity if such existed. He went outside, and to the multitude said: “Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.” This was the governor’s third definite proclamation of the Prisoner’s innocence. “Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!”

“They all say unto him, let him be crucified. And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, let him be crucified.”

“The Roman governor was sorely troubled and inwardly afraid. To add to his perplexity, he received a warning message from his wife, even as he sat on the judgment seat: “Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.” Those who know not God are characteristically superstitious. Pilate feared to think what dread portent his wife’s dream might presage. But, finding that he could not prevail, and foreseeing a tumult among the people if he persisted in the defense of Christ, he called for water and washed his hands before the multitude—a symbolic act of disclaiming responsibility, which they all understood—proclaiming the while: “I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.” Then rose that awful self-condemnatory cry of the covenant people: “His blood be on us and on our children.” History bears an appalling testimony to the literal fulfillment of that dread invocation.” Unquote: 1

And to this, I bear my witness, that in vision I too saw the face of the Lord, wearing the crown of thorns as stated above, and he was a bloody mess.  Sweat, blood, dirt, and bleeding profusely.  I saw it.  I believe that God would have shown me more, but it was too painful to watch.  In horror, I waved my hands and said, “Lord, I cannot see this.” My soul was horror-stuck.  The vision vanished, and I was left to myself.

With this one act, Jesus had secured all living things, both spiritual and physical, and drew them all to himself.  No longer did satan have power over anything.  For the victory was eternal.

Jesus said, “And with my stripes, ye are healed.”

Applying the Blood of Jesus Today

And just like the Israelites did during the time of Egypt, we too can symbolically apply the blood of Jesus to the top of the doors of where we dwell, and taking authority through the name of Jesus, with faith in Christ, cast out all the devils and evil spirits that might seek to dwell in our homes.

I have done this on the four walls of the exterior of my apartment.  I have applied it to the windows and doors, where I was shown where devils enter.  (I will explain this in a later post.)

I have applied the blood of Jesus to those living with me as a shield from evil, and harmful energy, and as a protection, as we leave our house during the day.

The blood of Jesus has power and authority over the demonic through faith.

Faith is where both the heart and mind are unified in belief.  When our minds firmly know and our hearts believe it, in unison. When both come in unity, we are exercising faith, and anything that we ask the Father in Jesus’ name can be done unto us.
