I had a dream, or in other words, I had a vision. In my dream, I saw a certain group of men reading their scriptures. But there was something different than just opening a book and reading. These men sincerely wanted to get something out of what they were reading, and there was a strong desire to seek it expressly.
This seeking of more knowledge came from the heart. And there was an attitude of humility, and it was intentional.
As I watched this, I found myself asking a few questions about myself.
Am I looking to find something special as I read? Am I looking to feel the spirit guide me, and am I reading with a purpose? What am I trying to get out of my own scripture reading?
As I sat and watched this occur, the Lord then showed me that when the soul is hungering for more knowledge from God, with a prayer in their heart, with the intent to understand greater things and to be willing to follow humbly what they would recieve, that “little gems of knowledge” would pop up out of the word of God by way of the spirit and if followed, would draw one closer to Christ.
And I saw many small diamonds pop up out of the scriptures. These gems were pouring from the pages, piling up into mounds of small diamonds that held great value in wisdom and knowledge. They were flawless. Giving clarity.
These little gems were precious to the soul, connecting one word to another and giving a fuller view of a much bigger picture that illustrated a truer way.
These gems gave hearing to the ears and sight to the eyes. That by hearing men might hear, and that in seeing, men might see.
I was shown many other things, but I will not write them here.
One of the main illustrations I received was seeing firsthand the importance of personal revelation and how important it is for each of us to be in a position to receive our own from God. Through this process, God can guide us personally and direct our path in a way that brings success to our lives, not only for ourselves but also for those around us.
And I woke up.
